AFRICULTURAL LEGACY COLLECTIVE

MANDATE

The Africutural Legacy Collective mandate, is the practical application of the 7 principles of the Nguzo Saba: UNITY, SELF-DETERMINATION, COLLECTIVE WORK & RESPONSIBILITY,

COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS, PURPOSE, CREATIVITY and FAITH, with respect to the history and future of Black Trentonians within the context of the history and future of people of the African Diaspora,

ALC, a collective of individuals, businesses, organizations and institutions mandated to carry out their mission, is launching an initiative named “Ourstory”. The goal of the initiative is to:

  • Hold the Black historical Higbee/Nixon School, Carver Branch Y, intelletual property and all that is Black Ourstory in Trenton, NJ in trust for the community and resurrect all to rightful service as institutes and realms of knowledge towards educating and nurturing citizens towards intelligent and compassionate belief systems. This ALC mandate is explicitly pursuant to securing reparations and genrational wealth in behalf of our Ascendants.

  • Designate a nuclear and extended Africultural Legacy District to promote tourism and subsequent upgrades involving Black Ourstorical points of interest in regards to quality of life conditions such as clean and well lit streets, curb appeal and public safety. Restore and bolster vibrancy, cohesiveness, fluidity, opportunity, expressive outlets and prosperity to the communities.

  • Provide food programs, mental health services, employment, community service and development, social services and training especially for historically underserved groups such as the autistic, veteran’s, LGBTQIA community, women and the homeless.

  • Enhance child and youth development.
  • Advocate for incentives and services for businesses and property owners.
  • Introduce and manage tourism, arts and entertainment.

To support this initiative sponsor some aspect of the initiative, pay a tangible, in-kind gesture forward in line with the initiative, participate in initiative efforts, display an ALC decal or flag at your residence or business, share your experiences with the initiative with others, contact government representatives to express your support, visit our website, and look for the future ALC gofundme page to make a tax deductible donation.
